This award recognizes a member of the Walker Area Association of REALTORS® who is known for his/her strong professional ethics, a cooperative spirit, and willingness to share business knowledge, industry experience and personal time to help others succeed in their career. Honoree may be accomplished sales agents, affiliates, managers or business owners, but are often better known and respected for their optimism and enthusiasm, integrity and work ethic, and civic involvement, charitable contributions, and leadership in the local business community.

This award recognizes a member of the Walker Area Association of REALTORS®, licensed in the last three years, who is active in the community and the Association. The REALTOR® can be nominated consecutively but can only win the award once. The nominee shall be a member in good standing with the Association.

The Realtor of The Year Award is an annual peer award of the Walker Area Association of Realtors and is given to a member who exhibits outstanding professional, civic and association achievements. The REALTOR® can be nominated consecutively but can only win the award once. The nominee shall be a member in good standing with the Association.

The Founders Scholarship was created to honor our founding members and their dedication to their community and Realtor families. Through this scholarship, the Walker Area Association of Realtors is able to continue to support those furthering their education at any college, university or technical program within the state of Alabama. This scholarship is available to dependents of any Realtor member holding an active membership with the Walker Area Association of Realtors.
